Added improvements and fixes found by the community.

Possibly replace DX with SDL2/other to gain crossplatform support, but since the DirectX headers are maintained for latest Delphi versions - this has lower priority.

Heavy refactoring, to make the code a joy to work with - and benefit a modern Object Pascal dialect.DONE (and keep it updated to the latest Delphi release) Moving the Win32 Delphi 4 source code to Delphi 10.3 or later - including its free Community Editons.This is a fork from the gondur/Siege-of-Avalon-Open-Source repository, which again is a fork of the original released repository moved over from Sourceforge where it was released in 2003.

Open the Siege.dpr project file and compile.

Install Delphi 10.3.3 or newer - the free Community Edition found at will do fine. I hope also to get more time for tooling. Click on Siege in graphic settings menu 5. Maybe some of the stuff can flow back into the Steam/GOG release - if is makes sense and is wanted. My original focus was to make a DTMain1.exe plugin replaceable Siege.exe - but since the game now is back for the wider audience in a fixable form, I will pull back the changes we did on the re-release of the project - and then add more experimental things and just continue with cleaning up the code. Second chapter takes the events from where the first chapter ended, while third, fourth and fifth chapters are sort of add-ons to the main story.

The first one is available for free download, but you have to buy the others in order to complete the story. This game has been described as an 'episodic computer game novel'. Class restrictions are rather mild, meaning that a fighter can learn spells and gain proficiency in magic, etc. Now is the time for the birth of a legend. The invaders have surrounded Avalon and the depleted garrison is bracing for the final assault. The Citadel of Avalon is all that remains of the once-mighty seven kingdoms. It doesn't follow any particular set of RPG rules characters level up after having gained enough experience from defeating foes. Siege of Avalon is an isometric story-driven fantasy-RPG. The game is mainly story-driven, featuring many NPCs, and has action-based combat. Only the fortress of Avalon resists to his evil intentions. The setting is an imaginary land which has been ruined by wars and it is up to you to defeat the evil warrior Mithras, who strives to conquer the entire land. Siege of Avalon is a traditional fantasy-RPG with an isometric view.
